William George Kurk on Walking as a form of Meditation

By william kurk at 2013-06-26 05:08:07
William George Kurk believes in living a simple life. Through the years, he has strived to minimize his impact on the world around him by consuming less and producing even less waste materials. He is a noble soul who has worked hard to create unique opportunities for others to succeed in life. With all the stress of modern living, William Kurk suggests that to excel as human beings we should try to live a simpler life. He practices walking meditation too and he says that it helps him in connecting with himself and exploring his thoughts in an in-depth manner.

For anyone interested in walking as a form of meditation, William George Kurk says that it is the simplest thing one can do to make one’s life better and more productive. He believes that the simple rhythm of walking can help a person in better gathering his/her thoughts and getting a unique understanding of their own actions and decisions in life. Walking is one of the simplest exercises that one can do and it need nothing other than a good pair of shoes and a place to walk. Ideally, he suggests that one should walk during morning when the air is fresh and there are less people outside. He also says that one can choose a garden or a park for walking where there are no interruptions or distractions of any kind. Allow yourself to relax and observe your surroundings, take deep breaths and be one with the natural life around you. Observe the world around you in silence so that you can listen to your thoughts and still the chatter that always goes on in one’s mind. He suggests that counting your steps is a great way to bring about stillness of thoughts and calmness in one’s mind.

William George Kurk says that it takes time for a person to find his/her rhythm of walking but after a week or two of regular walking every day, you’ll find it much easier to focus. He also mentions that a simple exercise like walking doesn’t need much in form of gear or effort and one should try walking whenever the opportunity arises.
